A new era of experiences began in Tampere, Finland, when Nokia Arena opened its doors in December 2021. The experience centre, designed by the internationally renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, provides a wonderful setting for the ice hockey people of Tampere and enables concerts of up to 15,000 people to be arranged year-round. Nokia Arena will also host world-class congresses and fairs, as well as smaller meetings and shows. Tower blocks, restaurants, a hotel and a casino are also connected to the arena, built on top of the main line railway. The whole radiates an international atmosphere.

Intelligent access control every day of the year – also smart devices and wristbands acting as keys

Nokia Arena's central location highlights the importance of access management. All access-related information must be easily accessible so that it can be used to react quickly. With Abloy’s access control system all access in the arena can be managed in a versatile and real-time manner. System interfaces enable integration with ABLOY solutions and third-party systems.

The Arena uses Abloy’s PROTEC² CLIQ locking products and keys, but opening is also possible with the help of smart devices. Through the system, an access permit can be distributed directly to a smart device and safely removed, anywhere, anytime. This makes it especially easier for partners to move around the premises. Handing over and receiving keys, granting access rights and reviewing the access register is effortless.
