Background
The London offices had recently undergone refurbishment, prompting a full review of security arrangements. With significant daily activity from staff and visitors, the firm needed the ability to instantly update card access points, particularly important as trainee solicitors regularly change departments.

Solution
Following research by the security team and ACS Ltd, provider of the existing PLAN access control system, Aperio™ electronic cylinders were identified as the most cost-effective and easy-to-install solution — requiring no modification to the doors. By utilising the existing Mifare RFID-based access control system, installation costs were kept to a minimum. Aperio™ cylinders have since been fitted across a range of applications, including IT cabinets, high-security maintenance areas, and offices.
