ASSA ABLOY Access Software

ASSA ABLOY Access system can be managed independently of time and place using a browser. The recommended browsers for the Access software are Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge, which are officially fully supported.

Software updates, security updates and backups are performed automatically in the background. Basic use of the software does not require installations, except for the desktop reader.

System management requires a username and password, without the need for a separate physical programming identifier. Multi-system management is supported, allowing efficient control of several systems simultaneously.

Buildings, floors and floor plans can be added and edited. Products and user information can be created and modified with ease. Keys can be handed over and returned with the option to print a handout document. Locks and readers are managed directly through the floor plans, supporting visual and intuitive control.

Products, keys, persons and access rights can be imported using Excel templates. Access rights can be set, changed and deleted, and validity periods for keys as well as lost keys are managed centrally. Access rights groups, access rights profiles and PIN codes are easy to manage, and the locking chart can be exported in Excel format for further use.

Audit trails for keys, locks and updaters (optional) are collected automatically via the updater. Administrator roles can be defined to specify which functions of the locking system each administrator is authorized to perform. The software adapts to the assigned role and displays only the relevant functions.

The user interface is clear and user-friendly. The front page view provides statistics of the locking system, and the logical menu structure together with a web design that adapts to different devices ensures a smooth user experience. General system settings include revalidation period for keys, retention period for audit trails and event logs, and templates for handout documents.
