"From the very beginning, working at Abloy felt like coming home"
When Anne Salmensuo started at Abloy in a one-year fixed-term position as a series designer, she immediately felt she had found the right place.
"From the very beginning, it felt like coming home. I really enjoyed it, and just a week in, I told my supervisor at the time that I was here to stay," Anne says.
Her wishes were heard, and the fixed-term contract soon turned into a permanent position. That marked the beginning of a career that has now lasted over eleven years—and is still going strong.
Organizing international customer trainings
Today, Anne works as a Training Coordinator at ABLOY ACADEMY, which is Abloy’s training service for both domestic and international distributors.
"My workdays are very diverse. I’m responsible for organizing and coordinating all our customer trainings, both in Finland and abroad," Anne explains.
Flexible work culture builds a good work-life balance
A flexible work culture also helps maintain a good work-life balance.
"I have flexible working hours and work in a hybrid model. Remote work allows me to work, for example, surrounded by nature—which is very important to me."
Nature plays a big role in Anne’s life. She enjoys hiking and camping, and she has set herself a unique goal: to visit all 41 national parks in Finland.
"Hiking and camping are my favorite hobbies. I’m on a mission to visit every one of Finland’s 41 national parks."
