Enhanced Durability for ABLOY® SENTRY Keying System
ASSA ABLOY is implementing an update to the ABLOY® SENTRY keying system to improve durability and extend ABLOY® SENTRY key life in high‑use applications.
As part of this enhancement, the steel profile plate has been replaced with a tin bronze profile plate as the new standard configuration. When the tin bronze profile plate interacts with the key, the selected materials reduce friction‑related wear, particularly in high‑usage environments. This results in extended key service life and helps reduce ongoing key replacement costs.

Following this announcement, all finished locks will be supplied with the tin bronze profile plate as standard. The tin bronze profile plate will become the primary inventory item, and buyers are strongly recommended to purchase this option moving forward.
Stock holdings will be optimised accordingly, with tin bronze profile plates established as the primary inventory. Existing steel profile plate stock will be placed on hold and will not be supplied until further notice, in favour of the enhanced solution.
