ABLOY Handshake Challenge 2026 Rules

RULES AND TERMS

1. Organiser

The campaign is organised by Abloy Oy (Business ID 0774324‑5).

2. Purpose of the campaign

The campaign competition is part of the ABLOY Handshake Challenge campaign. Its purpose is to invite the public to design a signature handshake for Abloy that reflects trust and a sense of community.

3. Campaign entry period

The campaign entry period is open from April 13 to April 30 2026. The Organiser reserves the right to consider entries submitted after the deadline only in exceptional circumstances.

4. Eligibility

The campaign is open to individuals who:

  • Permanently reside in Finland
  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Keep their social media profile public for the duration of the competition, enabling the Organiser to review the submitted content

The campaign is not open to employees of the Organiser or of partner companies involved in the campaign production, or to their family members, where such participation could compromise the impartiality of the selection.

5. How to participate

Participation takes place by creating and publishing a video on TikTok or Instagram, using the hashtag #HandshakeChallenge and tagging the account @abloy_oy.

The entry may include, for example:

  • A demonstration of the handshake together with another person

Participation is free of charge and does not require any purchase.

6. Selection method and criteria

The winners will be selected on the basis of the submitted video entries.
The selection will be made by a jury appointed by the Organiser, Abloy.

The following criteria may be taken into account, for example:

  • Clarity and creativity of the handshake
  • Video quality
  • Practical feasibility of the handshake
  • The sense of trust conveyed by the handshake

The Organiser reserves the right not to select any winner if a suitable handshake is not found. The Organiser’s decision is final and binding in all matters relating to this competition, and the Organiser will not enter into correspondence regarding the decision.

7. What being selected means (commitment)

By publishing a video, the participant acknowledges and agrees that, if selected, they commit to accepting the prize and consent to their submitted video being used in other marketing materials related to the ABLOY Handshake Challenge, such as:

  • Campaign visibility, including publication of the video in Abloy case videos, advertising materials, on Abloy’s website and channels (including social media), as well as at Abloy’s internal and external events

The selected participant must provide any additional information and confirmations requested by the Organiser within the specified timeframe to enable campaign production. The Organiser reserves the right to select an alternative winner if the selected participant cannot be contacted.

8. Production by the Organiser and use of materials

The Organiser has the right to use the produced content as part of Abloy’s marketing activities, including campaign marketing, newsletters, websites and social media channels.

9. Rights and consents

The selected winner grants the Organiser the right to use the winner’s:

  • Name
  • Image and voice

for the purposes of implementing the campaign and for marketing, as described in section 8.

10. Liability, costs and value of prizes

The Organiser is responsible for arranging the campaign production insofar as it concerns the Organiser.

Participants release the Organiser from liability for any damage caused, or alleged to be caused, by participation in this competition. The Organiser shall not be liable for any damage caused by the prizes or their use. The Organiser’s liability shall not exceed the total value of the prizes specified in these rules.

The Organiser is not responsible for technical issues or obstacles caused by information technology problems that prevent participation in the competition or receiving the prizes.

As the main prize, one participant may win: two (2) two‑day PEPSI MAX 2 DAYS EXCLUSIVE tickets to Blockfest 2026 (total value EUR 759.80), accommodation for two persons at Lapland Hotels Arena, Misty Comfort Twin room including breakfast during the festival from 21 to 23 August 2026 (value EUR 716), and travel for two persons within Finland to Tampere (e.g. train tickets, maximum value EUR 400).

Among the other participants, two (2) Vitun Leija gift cards with a value of EUR 500 each will be raffled. Prizes cannot be transferred, exchanged or redeemed for cash.

The winner is responsible for any costs related to receiving the prize. The Organiser is responsible for the costs related to delivering the prize.

All stated values include value added tax (VAT).

11. Data protection

Participants’ personal data will be processed for the purposes of administering the campaign, contacting participants and organising campaign production.

By participating in the campaign, the participant grants Abloy Oy the right to use the prize winner’s name in communications related to the competition without separate consent or additional compensation.

12. Changes to or cancellation of the campaign

The Organiser reserves the right to amend these rules or to cancel or suspend the campaign for a justified reason (for example, force majeure, technical disruption or production-related changes). Any changes will primarily be communicated on the campaign entry page.

13. Disputes

Any disputes shall primarily be resolved through negotiation with the Organiser.
Finnish law shall apply to this campaign.

14. Acceptance of the rules

By participating in the campaign, the participant confirms that the information provided is correct and accepts these rules.
