Changes at Abloy International Organization

I am pleased to announce that Jorma Issakainen will take the position of Vice President, Abloy International, to lead the entire Abloy International operations, consisting both Abloy Exports and Abloy Sales Unit organizations, with immediate effect.

Until now Jorma Issakainen has been in charge of Abloy International Exports as VP Abloy International. In his new role Jorma will report to myself and will continue as a member of Abloy management team.

Jorma’s main priorities will be to accelerate growth of Abloy Sales Units, ASSA ABLOY Intragroup and export sales. He will also focus on improving the profitability of Abloy Sales units.

Consequently, the regional set up of Abloy International will be strengthened by establishing regional management roles for Abloy East Europe and Abloy Asia Pacific regions, and by appointing a Head of International Business Development Team, reporting to Jorma. New open positions will be published in KeyPoint in due course.

Jorma has been at Abloy since 1989, and has worked at several positions in R&D, Technical support, and abroad as Marketing Manager for Abloy in the UK and in the USA. Jorma was outside of the Group between years 1998-2001, and after joining back to Abloy in 2002 Jorma has been advancing his career in Business Development at Abloy Exports and Abloy International. He holds a Bachelor degree of Science in Robotics from Joensuu Polytechnic.

Please join me in wishing Jorma every success in his new position.
